I was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1952 and attended Catholic schools there through high school. In 1971 I joined a rock-n-roll band and traveled around the U.S., finally settling in Oklahoma where I earned a bachelor degree in psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma. In 1987 I moved back to Louisville and completed a masters and doctorate in experimental psychology at the University of Louisville (click above to learn more about U of L). I have been married since 1973 to Meredith and have a son Christian who lives in Los Angeles and is pursuing careers in music and film. My faculty positions have been as full-time professors at Indiana University Southeast and the University of Louisville and I am currently an Associate Professor of Psychology at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas. I play music as a hobby and have a band in San Antonio, Texas called Texas Tide.
