This is a very important course, a foundation on which most others will build.  It is very important that you learn and understand the body parts and how they function.

Pointers from former students:

  • Read the chapter before the lecture
  • Go over the Study Guide as you are reading the chapter
  • Do the Study Guide as you go and don't wait until the night before it's due
  • Review the Outline Summary at the end of each chapter
  • Study the Chapter Test and Review Questions at the end of each chapter
  • Listen to the lecture and take good notes
  • Pay attention to the analogies; they really help
  • Get with the teacher during office hours if you need help or are having problems
